Farmers' Markets Along the Grand Strand

Farmers' Markets Along the Grand Strand

Across the 60 miles of the Grand Strand, there is a vast array of Farmers' Markets offering the freshest local produce. Throughout the summer and fall, many of the 14 communities in our area host weekly markets, so there is always a chance that you can pick up some refreshing veggies and fruits to enjoy!

Did you know there are many benefits to eating local produce, too? Not only does buying produce locally help the economy, but local fruits and vegetables also have more nutrients and flavor since they are not transported for days after harvesting. When buying from a farmers' market, you can ask more questions on where produce came from and how it was grown or raised. Also, buying local foods supports the environment and decreases the amount of food waste in the area. Sounds like a win-win!
